Saturday 25 and Sunday, September 26, 2010 celebrated the GEP, the European Heritage Days, designed in 1991 by the Council of Europe to strengthen and promote dialogue and exchange within cultural exchange between European countries. The Department of Archaeology and Cultural Rights, as every year, participates in the event throughout the country and organizes initiatives to enhance and highlight the contents of the Italian culture and heritage.

The City of Volterra, in collaboration with the Archaeological Group Velathri, Pro Loco, Tourist Association, noted the success of initiatives previous, present on the occasion of the two days

"The rest of the Etruscans"

divided between the Acropolis and three points in the city to listen to the stories of the ancient inhabitants of Volterra.

The meeting points are:

morning at 9.30 am on ' Acropolis afternoon at 16.30

morning at 10:30 am Tomba Inghirami afternoon at 17.30

morning at 11.15 hours ' Hypogeum S. Giusto afternoon at 18.15

morning at 12.15 hours' Hypogeum Marmini 19 hours ago , 15

The schedule of meeting the different sites. Attendance is free and free is the transfer from one appointment to another. It 'still secured a transfer shuttle.

keep the Acropolis normal opening hours and the tombs will be open for visitors from 10 to 13 and from 16 to 20. The events concern the free guided tour (15/20 minutes per site).
